A TRAVEL ESIM, INCLUDED

Every plan comes with a travel eSIM. Flying home for a wedding, working a month from Lisbon, a weekend in Marrakech — switch it on and stay connected, up to 30 days a year, without touching your main line.

Three steps

Buy it here, install it at home, use it there.

1

Pick your destination and how much data

Search the country, choose the size. Prices include VAT and there is nothing to cancel later: it is a one-off.

2

Install the QR at home, on Wi‑Fi

It lands in your account and in your inbox the moment you pay. Add it as a second line and leave it switched off.

3

Switch it on when you land

Turn on data roaming for the travel eSIM only. Your Spanish number keeps taking calls, as always.

Straight answers

Before you buy.

Will it work on my phone?

If your phone supports eSIM and isn’t locked to another operator, yes. Most phones from 2019 on do: iPhone XS and later, Pixel 3 and later, Samsung S20 and later. Dial *#06# — if you see an EID, you’re fine.

Does my Spanish number stop working?

No. The travel eSIM is a second line that sits next to your usual one. Calls and texts keep arriving on your Spanish number; the travel eSIM carries the data.

When does the clock start?

When the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, not when you buy it. So you can install it days before you fly.

Do I get a phone number with it?

No — these are data-only. That’s what you want abroad anyway: your Spanish number is still yours for calls and for the codes your bank sends you.

I already have a plan with you. Do I need this?

Probably not, for short trips: every BarcelonaTelecom plan includes a travel eSIM for up to 30 days a year, which you ask for from your account. Buy one of these when you’ve used those days, or when you want more data than the free one carries.

What if it doesn’t work when I land?

Open a ticket from your account at any hour — the incident desk is 24/7 and answers in more than 30 languages. If we can’t get it working, we refund it.

Living here?

The travel eSIM comes with the plan.

Fibre for the flat, a line for everyone in it, and 30 days of travel data a year at no extra cost.
